Short Description
The goal of Hajj is the goal of every form of worship in Islam; it is sincerity to Allaah The Almighty, which is weakened with some Muslims.
The goal of Hajj is the goal of every form of worship in Islam; it is sincerity to Allaah The Almighty, which is weakened with some Muslims.
It is dedication to Allaah Alone and making Him the sole goal in his activities and orientation. This would fill the sentiment of the worshiper with the greatest fact, and thus become pure and detached from all evil and vice. Is it appropriate for the Muslim in the place of greatness and purity where loads of sins are taken away from overburdened shoulders and bodies that he spoils them in the season of worship in the Tawaaf, Sa‘y, staying in ‘Arafaat, and the days and nights of Mina by the sins, misdeeds, forbidden looks here and there, bad words, bad attitudes, and a dark face? No, it is not appropriate for such a body and longing soul to go down to the burning depths, while people compete in worship, racing to and pursuing the higher degrees, and lowering their gazes from the prohibitions and their tongues from lying and betrayal.
A Muslim should be aware of the meaning of the great reward resulting in his rebirth which cannot be found anywhere in the world, regardless of the precious and dear items spent for it. It is the birth of the reassured and good soul that could be purchased with money. However, a Muslim will not find it in psychiatric clinics or in the land and air tours or in the parks of Asia or Europe; it is found in the accepted Hajj which ends up nowhere but Paradise– Allaah Willing. In a Hadeeth, the Prophet, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, said: "Whoever performs Hajj and does not have sexual relations, nor commits sin, nor disputes unjustly (during Hajj), returns from Hajj as pure and free from sins as on the day his mother gave birth to him.' [Al-Bukhaari] It was narrated on the authority of Abu Hurayrah, May Allaah Be Pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allaah, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, was asked: "Which deed is the best?' He replied, "Faith in Allaah and His Messenger.' Then he was asked: "What is next?' He replied, "Jihaad in the Cause of Allaah.' Then he was asked, "What is after that?' He replied, "An accepted Hajj." [Al-Bukhaari]
The health of the soul occurs by returning to the virtuous and good manners which bring man salvation and happiness in this life and in the Hereafter. Are we ready for that?
