The Way to Victory
There is only one way to attain victory, whose steps are clear, in which there is neither confusion nor ambiguity.
Victory is to treat these ten diseases that we have already mentioned, truly and sincerely.
We should acknowledge that these ailments exist, and endeavor, as much as lies within our capacity, to treat them well, promote this Ummah, and utilize all available energy to grant the Islamic Ummah empowerment on earth.
Simply, victory lies in the following ten things, with which the previous diseases could be treated:
1- To return, entirely and unconditionally to Allaah the Almighty, and His wise ordinances.
2- To unite all the Muslims on the basis of religion.
3- To have faith in Paradise, abstain from this world, and keep far from affluence.
4- To glorify Jihaad and urge people to take part in it, and bring up the youth to love death in the Cause of Allaah.
5- To pay attention to material preparation, in terms of weaponry, knowledge, war plans, economy, techniques and policies.
6- To present glorious examples to follow, genuine Islamic symbols, and intensify them in the sight of the Muslims.
7- Not to take as allies the enemies of this Ummah, and understand well the difference between an enemy and a friend.
8- To spread the spirit of hope among the people of the Islamic Ummah, and raise the morale of Muslims.
9- To entrust the public offices to those who are qualified, i.e. the competent and trustworthy.
10- To practice real consultation that aims at reaching the best opinion.
Despite the resemblance and similarity between the tales of these two declines of Baghdad, there is still a very significant difference between them, which brings great hope to the souls, and removes from them the hateful feeling of frustration. This difference lies, simply, in resistance! We have witnessed ferocious resistance on the part of the Iraqi people after the collapse of the army, especially in the Sunni triangle, which resulted in many casualties on the side of the American usurpers, American failure to penetrate the rows of resistance, Islamic sympathy for the Iraqi Mujaahids, and very clear American anxiety at the levels of the leadership, opposition, people and soldiers themselves, which reached the extent of suicides committed among the American fighters!
All those scenes were absent in the old story, which gives an impression that our condition now is better, and our status has not yet deteriorated to the same degree as it did during the days of the Tatars. Undoubtedly, all this arouses hope in the souls, and strengthens the determination of the people of this Ummah to wake up once again, under the certain belief that the Victory of Allaah for this Ummah would inevitably come, no matter how long it takes and no matter how complicated matters may become. Since this Ummah was able to emerge from its severe crisis during the days of the Tatars, we, Allaah willing, are more capable of overcoming our crisis; and Allaah The Almighty who brought out Qutuz, may Allaah have mercy upon him, from among the rows of the faithful believers, has the power to bring out many like him from among ourselves, {“And you will surely know [the truth of] its information after a time."} [Quran 38:88]
We ask Allaah the Almighty to make our lives be in His way, and make our words and reality like the words and reality of the companions of the Messenger of Allaah, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, when they answered him saying: “We are those who gave pledge to Muhammad on Jihaad as long as we live.”
I ask Allaah the Almighty to make a lesson for us to learn from history!
You will remember what I am saying, and I refer my affair to Allaah the Almighty, and Allah Is Seeing of [His] slaves.
