Short Description
It is a matter of fact that Human Rights overseas are violated extremely. This violation may be internally on the hands of the rulers, or externally on the hands of powerful state oppressing powerless one. This violation may be from a sect against another or from an individual to others. Generally speaking; violating human rights is common to the extent that the majority people on earth experience this matter.
Violating human rights is not innovative issue at the present time on earth, however; it was the characteristic of all nations before us on earth. Injustice and oppressing others was commonly practiced by Persians, Romans, Hindu, Chinese, Tatar, and crusades, the English, the French, Americans or Jews also were the same.
This is the inevitable result of power if not guided by mercy, ethics and religion.
Really, what sadden us is to have human rights violation spread across Muslim lands, though Allah, Almighty, bestowed on Muslims a religion, namely Islam, preserves human rights from the very day it was sent down to prophet Muhammad till the Day of Judgment.
Allah, Almighty, made mercy the main characteristic of Islam (And We have not sent you, [O Muúammad], except as a mercy to the worlds), Al-Anbyaa, 107.
Islam is a religion condemns injustice in all forms that Allah, Almighty, said in the Hadith Qudsy "Revelation from Allah in the Prophet's words": (O My Servants! I have forbidden injustice to Me. So, wrong not each other[1]).
It really grieves us to find large numbers of Muslims jailed wrongly, rather; they were not charged for any case primarily, nor were they questioned. Feasts of Muslims succeed each other and the families of those wrongly jailed are in more agony condition.
The one is distressed a lot for the wills of the Muslim nations falsified for the benefit of one definite person for his own interests.
The one is grieved very much for the tolls and taxes collected from the poor and the ordinary though it is beyond their estimated cost of living.
It saddens a lot when the one witnesses homeless children (Streets Children) Phenomenon and women and widowers who can not save the foodstuff for themselves and their children, while, on the contrary, the resources of the Muslim states are embezzled in millions.
All these examples are a kind of violating human rights in the Muslim states.
Accordingly, it is not astonishingly to find the Muslim states most likely to human rights violation.
By Allah! This is a great sedition and major calamity.
What would the so-called civilized states say about the Muslim states over violating human rights?!
Is not it expected for them to refer it to Islam itself?!
Is not it normal for them to say: the common ground for Muslims all is Islam, then it is a religion of violence, terrorism, oppression, subjugation, racism and caste?!
By Allah! It is sedition. In this regard, Allah, Almighty, says: (Our Lord, make us not [objects of] torment for the disbelievers and forgive us, our Lord. Indeed, it is You who is the Exalted in Might, the Wise."), Al-Mumtahanah, 5.
We, Muslims act as sedition for the disbelievers if our condition of not adhering to the teachings of Islam caused them to keep away from Islam and its adherents.
Indeed, Islam is completely blameless for the violations committed by Muslims. The contradiction between the rules of the Islamic law and the deeds of the Muslim rulers is too far like that between the heaven and earth or farther.
During these blessed days, how fruitful it is to be aware of the sound regulations of Islam through the speech of the prophet Muhammad at the day of `Arafa addressing the Muslims gathering with him at this solemn incident, namely pilgrimage.
The speech of `Arafa was different from the remaining speeches and sermons of the prophet Muhammad.
This is not due to the fact that it was farewell to Muslims, however; it was a speech addressed to his followers empowered to the land.
To illustrate, the prophet Muhammad addressed Muslims variant occasions of weakness, siege, and oppressed. However, at the speech of `Arafa, the prophet address a nation of Muslims empowered to the land and have complete control over Peninsula, yet; the prophet addressed them and humanity wholly that if the power was at the hands of real Muslims, they would use it to preserve human rights, settle justice on earth and to boost the principles of ethics and civilization.
The speech of `Arafa was the greatest declaration on the human rights throughout history of humanity.
The prophet Muhammad proclaimed it in more than one occasion that the bloods and wealth of people are sacred as they are the most two things humans clash over and the most people try to preserve. The prophet Muhammad, in this regard, is quoted: (Certainly, your bloods and wealth are forbidden to each other similar to the sacredness of this day, namely `Arafa, month, namely Dhul-Hijja, and country, namely Mecca[2]).
The prophet Muhammad made it forbidden for any body to shed the blood of any other one wrongly.
At another occasion, the prophet Muhammad said: (the wealth of one of you is not lawful for others except willingly, so you should not wrong your selves[3]).
Also, the prophet Muhammad forbade us to punish others for faults they have not committed (The bloods of Pre-Islam Period are cancelled and the first of those is the blood of ibn Rabi`ah ibn Al-Harith[4]). It is not logic that a man is killed just due to his father his unintentionally killed another man. Every soul should be responsible for its own deeds.
As well, the Prophet Muhammad forbade the economic exploitation and the utilization of the rich to the poor. In this connection, the prophet says: (and the usury of the Pre-Islam Period is cancelled and the first to be cancelled is that of Al-`Abbas ibn `Abdul-Muttalib. It is cancelled totally[5]).
Usury is a plain injustice and violation to human rights and perhaps the whole world experienced the crisis of usury and its impact on the financial crisis overseas. Thus, the prophet Muhammad had warned us from this consequence of usury and made it forbidden to exploit people or oppress them.
The prophet Muhammad was never proud over people for prophethood or leadership. The prophet never excluded himself from regulation of Islam; in addition, he was the first to cancel the bloods of the pre-Islam period shed illegally and the revenge of his ancestors. As well, he took the initiative to abolish the profits of usury of his uncle Al-`Abbas ibn `Abdul-Muttalib. This attitude was from the prophet Muhammad as a declaration to the whole that the ruler should never overpower his people, on the contrary, he was the example to Muslims to copy.
Also, in this gathering, the prophet Muhammad stressed to preserve rights of women which mostly are overlooked if men left their morals behind and were neglectful for adherence to the teachings of Islam. In this regard, the prophet Muhammad said: (fear Allah over women as you married them with the covenant of Allah and thus had their vulvae lawful for you[6]).
Afterwards, the prophet set a law held the greatest of humanity's laws, namely the law of equality and disregarding racism and caste, that is no distinction among people on the ground of sex, race, color or wealth. With respect to this, the prophet said: (O people! Your Lord is one and your father is one. You are all sons of Adam, and Adam was created from soil. The most pious among you is verily the most worthy of honor to God. No Arab is superior to a Persian, no Persian is superior to Arab, no red man is superior to a black one, and no black man is superior to a red one, save for piety[7]).
Moreover, there is the least objection to assume the rule an Ethiopian slave (Listen and obey to your ruler even if he is an Ethiopian slave with amputated limbs so long as he was applying the regulations of Allah and His Messenger among you[8]).
These great laws and regulations were declared since more than 14 centuries. They are accurate with no defection or faults which plainly signifies the prophethood of the prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
Indeed, we should comprehend the teachings of our religion, namely Islam, and to examine the biography of our prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and to be proud of our Islamic Law.
We should raise all forms of injustice and feel angry for the violation of the right of one single man and with the more so for violation of nations' rights.
Over and above, we must convey Islam overseas so that all people realize that Islam is the true religion of Allah and the Law of Islam is just and fair and to let them know that the wealfare in the worldly life and happiness in the after-life exists in the adherence to the teachings of Islam.
I beseech to Allah to relieve the distressed, to restore the rights of the wronged and to endow happiness on humanity through Islam.
I beseech to Allah to grant glory upon Islam and Muslims.
