Short Description
The one examining closely the conditions of the Muslim nation nowadays would find out much disadvantages spread among its adherents. Such disadvantages are not appropriate for the position of the Muslim nation endowed by Allah, the Almighty where He "Glorified is He" (You are the best nation produced [as an example] for mankind. You enjoin what is right and forbid what is wrong and believe in Allah…."
Among such disadvantages is the despair of the relief of Allah and the assumption that if it occurred; it would be after many centuries.
How it comes for such lofty nation that praised by Allah to get in despair! This is not of the characteristics of the believers, as Allah says: "and despair not of relief from Allah. Indeed, no one despairs of relief from Allah except the disbelieving people" (Yusuf chapter, verse: 87) and (He said, "And who despairs of the mercy of his Lord except for those astray?"). (Al-Hijr chapter, verse: 56). It is not appropriate for the believers to be desperate no matter what the bad condition of the Muslim nation is. Believers should be proud as they are Muslims, Allah, the Almighty, says "(You are the best nation produced [as an example] for mankind". When Muslims, as a nation intended by Allah, the Almighty, to lead other nations, consider their condition, they would find out their subordination to other nations, economic, cultural, intellectual, social and military feebleness along with moral and ideological feebleness. What is the reason behind such condition?
This may be explained well through the Quranic verse "And these days [of varying conditions] We alternate among the people ..." chapter: Al-Èmran, verse: 140. All nations created by Allah must have varying conditions, namely weakness and might, superiority and subordination, Allah, the Almighty, says "But you will never find in the way of Allah any change, and you will never find in the way of Allah any alteration". Chapter: Fatir, verse: 43.
Nations other than that of Islam may be wiped out forever, however Allah, the Almighty, promised to keep the Muslim nation to the end. What ever conditions of weakness or deterioration may afflict it; it would ultimately restore its power and superiority. This is because the fact that it is entrusted to the last message from the Almighty Allah to His servants. Who then would convey the good and the message of Allah to the whole world if the Muslim nation were to be wiped out!
If Muslim nation were to be wiped out, be sure that the Day of Judgment is imminent. This is because the fact that Allah never inflicts a torture on any nation, until He (Glorified and Exalted) sends them a messenger, Allah Says: "and in no way are We tormenting (anyone) until We have sent forth a Messenger". Also, our Messenger Muhammad is the seal of Messengers and prophets and the message of Islam is the last one, hence Allah preserves the whole world in a good condition as long as the nation of Muhammad (PBUH) is preserved every time and where.
Any Muslim person falls into despair is not aware of this fact that is he doe not comprehend the essence of the existing battle between Allah, the Almighty, on one hand, and those deviants from His religion, namely Islam, worship and course on the other hand. Definitely, victory would be to Allah as Allah's power is dominant and His soldiers are the victors. Allah, the almighty, says: "and they were scheming, and Allah was scheming; and Allah is The Most Charitable of schemers", chapter Al-`Emran, verse: 54 and "Surely they are plotting (evil) plots And I am plotting (vengeful) plots. So give the disbelievers (more) leisure; give them leisure awhile", chapter At-Tariq, verse 15-17, and " So, you did not kill them, but Allah killed them; and in no way did you (i.e., the prophet) throw when you threw, but Allah threw..." chapter Al-Anfal, verse: 17.
Allah (Glorified and Exalted) attributes power, scheme and victory to Himself and not to other. If we Muslims do appreciate Allah precisely, it would be unacceptable for any Muslim to doubt over endowing victory to Muslims. It has been narrated in Sahih of Muslim on the authority of Thawban that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said: (Allah, the Almighty, has folded the earth for me, hence I could see its eastern and western parts, accordingly, my nation will rule all parts folded to me). As well, it is narrated in Sahih of ibn Hibban on the authority of Al-Miqdad ibn Al-Aswad and in Mustadark of Al-Hakim on the authority of Tamim Ad-Dary that he said: I heard Allah's messenger saying: "This matter, namely Islam, will reach as night and day do and Allah will not leave out any civilized or non-civilized region, except He (Glorified and Exalted) will bring it into the fold of Islam through influence (for those who will adopt Islam) or servility (for those who will not adopt Islam will be object to tribute) ".
After the aforementioned verses and prophetic traditions there would be no doubt over the victory of Allah for the believers and thereof inside the earth is better for the polytheists than its outside.
Allah, the Almighty, describes the condition of the doubtful through His Quranic verses which read: (Whoever should think that Allah will not support [Prophet Muúammad] in this world and the Hereafter - let him extend a rope to the ceiling, then cut off [his breath], and let him see: will his effort remove that which enrages [him]?), chapter, Al-Hajj, verse 15.
Let the one who doubts over the victory of Allah hang himself. Muslims are not in need to a desperate man or woman. The victory of Allah is eminent and authority of believers upon others upcoming. Allah, the Almighty, says: "Say, "Perhaps it will be soon ".
At first sight to the Islamic history, the one would be sure of Allah's victory and granting authority for the believers. There is no room for doubt regardless of power of the tyrants, subjugation, violence or despotism prevalence. Muslim should advance to faith and cling to Allah. This is the established way of Allah. It has been narrated in Sahih Al-Bukhary, on the authority of Khabbab ibn Al-Arat that he said: (We complained to Allah's Apostle (of the persecution inflicted on us by the infidels) while he was sitting in the shade of the Ka`ba, leaning over his Burd (i.e. covering sheet). We said to him, "Would you seek help for us? Would you pray to Allah for us?" He said, "Among the nations before you a (believing) man would be put in a ditch that was dug for him, and a saw would be put over his head and he would be cut into two pieces; yet that (torture) would not make him give up his religion. His body would be combed with iron combs that would remove his flesh from the bones and nerves, yet that would not make him abandon his religion. By Allah, this religion (i.e. Islam) will prevail till a traveler from Sana (in Yemen) to Hadrarmaut will fear none but Allah, or a wolf as regards his sheep, but you (people) are hasty). Khabab did not give up his religion, or alter it. Moreover, he did not repeat his request any more from the prophet. `Umar ibn Al-Khattab asked him on torture he suffered for the sake of Allah, Khabbab thereof uncovered back which became leprous (as a result of torture). By then, `Umar ibn Al-Khattab was scared and said: I have never seen like that before. Khabbab said: O commander of the believers! They cooked me in a boiling water, then a man of them put his leg on my chest to the extent that I no thing protected me from the earth except my back and its hotness only extinguished by fat.
The condition of the companion is not a justification for asking Allah's relief or despair. The prophet (PBUH) was not angry out of the request of Khabbab rather of despair state he felt inside Khabbab. Days passed and the prophet migrated to Median and the Muslim nation was established and it is no more than one hundred years and islam spread in china eastward and in Europe westward. This is only by the relief of Allah and His assistance which would occur in the future as has been occurred in the past as Allah, the Almighty, says: (Allah has promised those who have believed among you and done righteous deeds that He will surely grant them succession [to authority] upon the earth just as He granted it to those before them and that He will surely establish for them [therein] their religion which He has preferred for them and that He will surely substitute for them, after their fear, security, [for] they worship Me, not associating anything with Me. But whoever disbelieves after that - then those are the defiantly disobedient), chapter, An-Nur, verse55.
