Short Description
Dr. Ragheb El-Sergani, General-Supervisor of Islam Story Web Site, condemned the deliberate campaigns conducted on satellite channels and in the daily newspapers against Islamists and the rule of Islam, as they referred to the state in Islam as " The Religious State".
Dr. Ragheb pointed out that these campaigns are aimed at intimidating nationals as to religion. He further stressed that the State under the rule of Islam has in no way been characterized by the infallibility of the ruler, as in the Shiite rule, or the infallibility of the Pope, as in the canonical rule, the matter has been spread in Europe during the Middle Ages.
Dr. Ragheb stated that the Theocratic State is not approved in Islam at all. However, it is a western adventitious term not known for the Arab and Islamic culture.
Dr. Ragheb declared that the state we mean is that which is not ruled by a sole individual in the name of god, however, it is a state ruled by a law and constitution and organizations that serve the issue of holding the ruler accountable. A state that is rich ground to justice, freedom, election and consultation.
Dr. Ragheb declared that Islam does not approve fabricating lies against Allah and the prophet Muhammad (PBUH), however, such campaigns do fabricate lies against Allah and the prophet (PBUH).
Such statements were delivered in a lecture by Dr. Ragheb on a rallied symposium in Kafr sa`d, Damietta governorate, on March 6th 2011 in the presence of thousands of his followers. He tackled the current condition Egypt encounters and the anticipated future.
Dr. Ragheb stressed that the state under the ruler of Islam guards the rights of minorities and the non-Muslims more than the non-Muslim states do. This is because Islam does not approve injustice due to the Qudsi declaration that Allah, the Almighty, says: O, My Servants! I have made injustice forbidden to My self, so you should not wrong each other" and for the prophetic Hadith : " I, namely prophet Muhammad, will be, on the Day of Resurrection, an opponent to a Muslim who will wrong non-Muslim ally, disparage him, overburden him, or take any thing belongs to him unwillingly"
