During the last lecture at Ar-Rawas mosque on Tuesday 3rd May, Dr. Ragheb El-Sergani, General-Supervisor of Islam Story Web Site, related the details of his historical visit  to the family of the Italian journalist, Vittorio Arrigoni, assasinated in Gaza strip on Mid-April.

Initially, Dr. Ragheb highlighted the necessity not to consider the non-Muslim nations equally, namely, we, Muslims should differentiate between those supporting us as to our problems and those opposing us. On the other part, there is a neutral party who neither support nor oppose us. For this party, Muslims should attract them and let them know the justice of our case.

Dr. Ragheb stated that Vittorio Arrigoni is categorized to the second party who defend and support our propblems vigorously, though he was non-Muslim, the point which make us wish that Allah, the Almighty made him die as a Muslim.

Vittorio is an Italian journalist perused the palestinian case and had the interest to observe its developments to the extent that he felt sorry for the unjust siege conducted against Gaza strip which urged him to travel there where he work as volunteer correspondent. "Be Humane" was the title Vittorio chose for his daily news he reports.

Though he was non-Muslim, he sympathized with the case of Gaza and deeply felt the suffering of its people due to his humaneness. Moreover, he used to seize the opportunity of the few days of his visit to his home Italy to conduct the conferences and the symposiums clarifying the fact of the palestinian case.

As well, he was known for his  fearlsness on dealing with zionists inside their colonies. In this regard, it was related that he used to sail with the fishers of Gaza people, though he was aware of the ban zionists made to the fishing smacks as a kind of the collateral punishment conducted against Gaza strip. But, Vittorio used to make use of his Iatlian nationality and sail with the fishers the matter which made zionists unhand them, lest they be subject to the cristicism of the International Community.

Once it happened that zionists blocked the way of a fishing smack arrested all on its board including Vittorio. When zionists knew that Vittorio is an Italian, they released him; however, he refused to leave without the remaining people with him, or else he would stay detained with them. Rather, Vittorio threatened them to go on a hunger strike to inform the whole world of the actions of the zionists there is Gaza strip. Vittorio insisted on that attitude until zionists had to release them all.

The recurring attitudes of Vittorio made him a subject to the zionist inflexibility that is he used to face their vexations on going in or out Gaza strip through Erez Crossing, and ultimately they arrested him and expelled him to his home. Inspite of his, Vittorio has not surrended and returned back once again to Gaza, but it was that time through Cyprus.

Dr. Ragheb stated "Let's bear in mind that he met all these troubles while he is non-Muslim and not exceeded the 36-year-old. And in the end, he was killed in the hideous way we all knew!!".

By then, zionists permitted his corpse to pass through Erez Crossing where it was banned to him alive, the matter which made his steadfast mother refuse the zionist attitude and insist his corpse must pass through Rafah border crossing!

The corpse was escorted to Italy where thousands of Italians were in wait for him raising the pslestinian flags showing their approval to Vittorio to his support to the palestinian case acclaiming " Repose to Vittorio, will will proceed", "Long life for palestine" and "Lofty palestine".

Dr. ragheb added that what astonished me more during this visit along with a delegation of the Musllim community in Italy was the reception of his family, especially his mother who received the the consoler delegations smiling  stressing that the case her son devoted his life will proceed.

Then, she led us to wherein her son's corpse lay inside a coffin covered by the Italian and Palestinian flags, the famous Palestinian headdress and the Peace banner.

Dr. Ragheb proceeds, the mother told us about her reply to the Italian journlists, who contacted her making use of the incident to stir up discord between the Italian and palestinian people, that her son died for a case of truth and blamed them for behaving in the same manner the zionist journalist do who actually wnnt to the point that her son killed by palestinians. Inspite of this, she refuted their attitudes saying: was not Rabin killed by jews? Was not Ghandi killed by indians? Does it justify to deem all jews and indians sinful for that?!

Dr. Ragheb stated that the father of Vittorio was ateadfast in the same maner of his wife where he told us that he is strikrn by cancer and when he asked his son to come fromGaza to accompany him in a therapeutic journey, the son told him that his sister can do this task, while palestinians have no one to support them!

The most strange is that the father intends, in case  he gets recovered, to visit Gaza showing integration to them in the next year on the board of the Italisn Freedom Ship where it will be named "Vittorio Ship".
