Short Description
There are some situations in the biography of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) bewilder the readers of the contemporaries, for example the gallantry of the disbelievers.
When we read about Abu-Jahl, Al-Walid ibn Al-Mughirah, `Utbah ibn Rabi`ah, or others of the leading figures of the disbelievers, it comes to mind that they always were deprived of chivalry or magnanimity, especially that they are not only criminals or corrupters, rather they worship idols besides Allah Almighty. However, by considering their morals on some situations, it turns out that they behaved more morally if compared to Muslims at the present.
What were the numbers of Muslims killed in the Mecca stage? Do you imagine they were two Muslims killed only! They were Yasser and Sumaya, parents of `Ammar, May Allah be pleased with them all. This war by the disbelievers on Muslims left only two martyrs throughout 13 years. How it is justified in the present to see the criminals carelessly kill hundreds of their brethren? Do they lack to the gallantry of the disbelievers who refrained from killing more Muslims across these years, though many of Muslims at that time were slaves and freed slaves, namely they were valueless in society, however, killing at that time was a matter arouses their attention. Also, we read about torture for Muslims in Mecca, but we find that when it ceased, no traces of torture were left for long time, namely it is rarely to find of the tortured Muslims have missed his hand or leg, or became mentally disordered or even suffered death. On the other hand, at the present, we find inside jails of the Muslims who loses his soul by torture, or suffers Permanent disability. Where is the gallantry of the disbelievers?
Um-Salamah, May Allah be pleased with her, migrated alone from Mecca to Medina, five kilometers from Mecca at At-Tan`im, `Uthman ibn Talhah, was a disbeliever by that time, met her, he asked her: whereto? She replied: to Medina, where my husband is. He asked: is it any one accompanying you? She replied: none but Allah and then that young son, her son Salamah who was aged two years only. `Uthman said: by Allah! I will not leave you go alone, and he accompanied her to medina. She rode her she-camel, and `Uthaman walked on foot for five kilometers. Then he came back waiting for no word of thanksgiving from her husband or Muslims. Why `Uthman did that? He did that by way of gallantry. He could not find a woman out of aid and yet behaves carelessly. She and her husband were not embracing his religion, yet the moral considerations could not be disregarded.
Abu-Jahl refused to scale the house of the Prophet Muhammad and inspects it by force to find the Prophet on the day of Migration. This was to avoid the blame of Arabs for them that they entered the house of the Prophet Muhammad by force. The disbelievers disapprove to uncover the veil of the Prophet’s wives, the matter unacceptable in the Arabs’ traditions.
Al-Mut`am ibn `Adi, the disbeliever, granted asylum to the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
Al-Walid ibn Al-Mughirah, the disbeliever, granted asylum to `Uthman ibn Mazun (may Allah be pleased with him).
Ibn Ad-Dighinah, the disbeliever, granted asylum to Abu-bakr As-Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him).
Al-`Ass ibn Wael, the disbeliever, granted asylum to `Umar ibn Al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him).
The Prophet (PBUH) one day sat in the garden after being thrown by stones by people of At-Ta`f, he was offered a dish of grapes from a disbeliever, and he accepted it. Who was that one? He was one of the most fierce enemies for the Prophet, `Utbah ibn Rabi`ah together with his brother Shaibah ibn Rabi`ah. They were in hatred with the Prophet, and refusing his call and religion. However, when they saw the Prophet in sadness and worries, they were motivated by the sense of kin, as the narration states, they recalled their kinship, though it was not close, because they do not belong to the very same tribe, yet it was the gallantry of the disbelievers at that time.
Siege laid to Muslims in Abu-Talib defile was lifted by five of the disbelievers, then how about Muslims besieged now inside mosques who do not find a Muslim characterized by the gallantry of the disbelievers to lift the blockade?
I do not state these words defending the disbelievers, because these names mentioned before, save `Uthman ibn talhah, died disbelievers and are of the dwellers of the fire. However, I wonder that he gallantry of the current Muslims who repel Da`wah is less than that of the disbelievers, or rather lost totally!
O Muslims who kill us, you may justify for us the reason for this killing carelessly?!
How your selves became invaluable in your sight to the extent that you approve this conduct, and this weak belief? Are you in doubt that you will be held responsible, before Allah Almighty, for your actions against people you originally do not know, rather you killed them randomly?
How a gallantry instilled in the disbelievers is not instilled in you?
O Allah! You hear and see
O Allah! We may make You in front them to repel them from us, and seek refuge in You from their evils.
O Allah! You may count them and kill them one after one, and do not leave any of them alive.
O Allah! You may show us the miracles of Your mighty in them, and disclose the faults of them in public.
O Allah! You may grant us victory upon them in this life, and repay us from them in the hereafter, and draw them on their faces to fire.
O Allah! Your patience made them deluded them, and they dealt with our bloods and youth lightly, so You may show us the power of Your mighty in them, not to be sedition for the wrongdoers.
O Allah! You may grant victory for reformers on corrupters, believers on hypocrites, and those adhered to Your Book on those pointing their guns to the peaceful protesters while fasting and praying. Amen!
I ask Allah the Almighty to dignify Islam and Muslims
