Short Description
Some Prophetic Sunnahs are easy doing, yet their reward is plentiful which may astonish many; of these is the reward for marketplaces' supplication. In this regard, At-Tirmidhi related on the authority of `Umar (May Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (PBUH) said: (When a Muslim enters to the marketplaces and utters the invocation: None has the right to be worshipped except Allah, alone, without partner, to Him belongs all sovereignty and praise, He gives life and causes death, and He is alive and never dies, in His hands lies goodness, and He is over all things omnipotent, Allah will record for him thousand thousand good deeds and thousand thousand sins will be blotted out from his record, and will be lifted thousand thousand ranks in paradise)
Earning one million rewards from Allah and having one million sins blotted out deserves pondering.
Marketplaces are of the places where Muslims are heedless of practicing their deen, as in most, Marketplaces distract Muslims from observing the obligatory prayers on time and to do the good deeds, and they negatively affect the relation among Muslims as they compete to earn more money there. Accordingly, when the Muslim remembers this supplication in these marketplaces, Allah Almighty reward him abundantly. So, let’s be keen to observe this sunna, and diminish the time we spend in the marketplaces.
