Short Description
Ecologists advise people to preserve and save water, and we Muslims are proud that our Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) directed us to that before the today Ecologists did. In this regard, Ahmad and ibn Majah, Al-Albani ranked it sahih, hat the Prophet passed by Sa`ad while performing ablution and said to him: o Sa`ad! What is that wasting in water? Sa`d replied: o Messenger of Allah! Is there wasting in water?! The Prophet replied: yes, even you are on flowing spring).
Though this is a dictation of the Prophet by saving water, yet we know that he motivated us to perform the ritual ablution perfectly. Indeed the two are not in contradiction, which is manifested by him personally (pbuh), which is related by Al-Bukhari on the authority of Anas who said: (the Prophet was to wash from major ritual impurity using one sa`aa (measure) to five mud (half bushel (a dry measure)), and perform ablution using one mud)
Mud is equal to almost half a liter of water, this amount was used by the Prophet for perfuming ablution, and three liters rounded to wash from major ritual impurity.
Indeed, it is a way beneficial to all humanity, and let's start our first practical step towards this sunnah by reducing tap water on performing ablution.
