How great for wife to find her husband expressing his appreciation for her efforts at home, but it is greater to find him helping her by his hands. Indeed, this was the sunnah of the Prophet (pbuh) as relted by Al-Bukhari on the authority of Al-Aswad who said: I asked `Aishah (May Allah be pleased with her): How was the Prophet at home? she replied: he was helping his wives, however, when it is called to prayer, he rushes to prayer).

No doubt that this sunnah deepens the happiness of spouses and stability of the marital life.

This sunnah is attained through helping in house works that do not take long time, for example, washing dishes, arranging bed, littering, cleaning floor, and so on, which certainly agitates love emotions between spouses.

Also, it is achieved through seeking maid from time to time to help in the hard tasks, and you should recall that you are following the Prophet's sunnah while doing so.
