Short Description
Of the best qualities of Islam is its keenness to facilitate the lives of its followers, as facilitation is the way of Allah Almighty. Allah says in the Quran: (Allah intends for you ease and does not intend for you hardship and [wants] for you to complete the period and to glorify Allah for that [to] which He has guided you; and perhaps you will be grateful.), 2.185. in this respect, Imam Bukhari related on the authority of Anas (May Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (PBUH) said, "Make things easy and do not make them difficult, cheer the people up by conveying glad tidings to them and do not repulse (them).''
Imam Mulim related that the Prophet sent Abu-Musa Al-Ashari and Mu`az ibn Jabal to Yemen and instructrd them as saying: (Make things easy and do not make them difficult, give glad tidings and do not give bad ones, and be lenient to each other and be not at dispute)
Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Prophet (PBUH) said, "The religion (of Islam) is easy, and whoever makes the religion a rigor, it will overpower him. So, follow a middle course (in worship); if you can't do this, do something near to it and give glad tidings and seek help (of Allah) at morn and at dusk and some part of night"., related by Imam Bukhari.
It is worth mentioning that making things easy does not denote negligence in Sharia, rather it implies choosing the easier of the lawful things. Aishah (May Allah be pleased with her) reported: Whenever the Prophet (PBUH) was given a choice between two matters, he would (always) choose the easier as long as it was not sinful to do so; but if it was sinful he was most strict in avoiding it. [Al-Bukhari and Muslim].
This opens the door to consider the jurisprudential valuable opinions from all jurists to facilitate the affairs of muslims, and also it makes it permissible to use the permissions Allah Almighty granted us as to religions affairs with no embarrass.
Also, it directs us to alleviate those in need at different scales, be matters of faith or world life, as it is related in sahih Muslim on the authority of Abu-Hurairah that the Prophet (PBUH) said: (And whoever alleviates the need of a needy person, Allah will alleviate his needs in this world and the Hereafter.)
This is the core of Islam, and the sunnah of the Prophet of Islam, let’s be keen to observe it.
