Short Description
Diseases may disable the Muslim from performing many of his duties, which cause him to distress and helplessness. For all this, it was the Sunnah of the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, to ask Almighty Allah every day good health in his body from disease, and paid a special attention in his supplication to hearing and sight for their importance in receiving guidance. In this regard, it is narrated by Abu Dawood, and ranked Hasan by Albani, on the authority of `Abdulrahman ibn Abi-Bakrah who asked his father: Oh my father! I hear you invoking every day as saying: " Oh Allah!, grant me good health in my body, Oh Allah!, grant me good health in my hearing, Oh Allah!, grant me good health in my sight, there is no god but you, three times morning and night. Abu-Bakrah replied: I head the Prophet of Allah invocating Allah in this way, so I like to follow his sunnah.
So let’s follow the steps of the prophet Muhammad as Abu-bakrah did and made it loud so that his son Abdulrahman heard it and thus inquired about it. Accordingly, Abu-Bakrah received two rewards of applying the sunnah of the prophet Muhammad; one for himself, and one for his son.
